The inscription is engraved on a slab of stone, probably the pedestal of an image. It consists of a single Sanskrit verse(metre Sragdhara).
It records the erection of an image of Siva-Vishnu by one Kavalitayamin in the year 590 (668A.D). no king is mentioned, but it evidently belongs to the reign of Jayavarman I.
याते काले शकानां नवतनुविषयैर्माधवे षोडशाहे
जीवश्चापेजसूर्यो भृगुशशितनयौ तावुराख्ये विलग्ने।
सौरो मीनेन्द्रयायी क्षितितनययुते कर्कटे मैत्रमिन्दुः
विष्ण्वीशावेकमूर्ती कगलितयमिना स्थापितावत्र युक्त्या॥
